Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNO): Dozens of Panchayat representatives from Block Kangan including district level office bearers of Panchayat Conference from district Ganderbal joined Apni Party at its office in Lal Chowk Srinagar. According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), those who joined the Apni Party included: Showkat Ahmad Mir District General Secretary Panchayat Conference Ganderbal and Sarpanch Haqla Akhal-A, Amir Sana Wani, Sarpanch Halqa Akhal-B, Abdul Majid Bhat Deputy Sarpanch Halqa Akhal -A, Farooq Ahmad Lone Panch Ward -6 HalqaAkhal-A, Manzoor Ahmad Gojer Panch Ward -5 Halqa Akhal -A, Bilal Ahmad War Panch Ward -1 Tangdaji Halqa Hayan, Mehraj-ud-Din Tedwa Panch Ward-3 Halqa Hayan, Abdul Ahad Ganaie Panch Ward-8, Halqa Hayan, Mohammad Amin Magray Deputy Sarpanch, Halqa Cheerwan-A, Mohammad Sultan Bhat Block Publicity Secretary Panchayat Conference Block Gund, Javid Ahmad Sheergojri Tehsil Publicity Secretary Panchayat Conference Tehsil Kangan, Mukhtar Ahmad Magray Panch Halqa Cheerwan. They stated that they were convinced with the performance of the Party leadership to affiliate themselves with the Party. Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari welcomed the new entrants into the Party fold and the joining ceremony took place in presence of the Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, Provincial Secretary Haroon Rashid, DDC contesting candidate from Constituency Kangan-A Rohina Amin and Zonal President Sonwar Constituency Mohammad Shafi Mir. Welcoming them into the party fold, Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari observed that the inhabitants of the block Kangan have been unfortunately neglected by the successive governments even though the people of the area have always reposed their trust and participated wholeheartedly in the democratic processes. “Apni Party has a different approach and we want people to judge us by our performance and not by any other consideration. The Apni Party has pledged relentlessly for the welfare of the people,” Bukhari remarked. He hoped that the new joining from Kangan block will further strengthen the party base in Ganderbal district. “This will eventually lead to more public welfare measures in the future,” he added—(KNO)
